Job Description
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Physician Assistant provides outpatient adult and occasionally adolescent psychiatric evaluations, medication management and brief psychotherapy. Responsible for psychiatric assessments and management, ordering and interpreting tests and documenting in the electronic health record. Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment plans accordingly. Institutes emergency hospitalizations for patients in crisis for their safety and stabilization when needed. Refers patients to community providers when needed. Provides tele psychiatry services through video/phone conferencing.
This is a regular, 12-month position, working 32-40 hours per week, and is benefits eligible. The number of hours will be identified and a regular schedule established. The full-time annualized salary will be prorated based upon a 32-40 hours per week work schedule. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position reports directly to the Director of Psychiatry Services.

- Malpractice Insurance. As a State of Colorado employee, staff are covered for liability under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA).
- Federal Narcotics License (DEA registration). Fee is waived for a State of Colorado employee.
- CME. A fiscal year allocation of $1,500 based on full-time equivalency and 5 days of paid leave for CME.
- Collaborative Multidisciplinary Team. We offer a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. Staff at the CSU Health Network are supported by a full range of services for students, including laboratory, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychiatry, medical services, dental, optometry, and nutrition services on site, behavioral health and integrated care with counseling staff enhances the treatment of students with behavioral health concerns.

- Tuition Scholarship for Eligible Family Members. Eligible family members of CSU staff may qualify for a 50 percent tuition discount.

Compensation
The salary is $115,000- 130,000; The full-time annualized salary will be prorated based upon a 32-40 hours per week work schedule. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
